The CCF (China Computer Federation) Beijing Technology and Business University Student Chapter successfully held a membership recruitment event for first-year students and first-year graduate students from the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence on the evening of December 16, 2024, at 7 PM. The event was conducted in a hybrid format, with offline activities at the Fucheng Road Campus and online activities at the Liangxiang Campus.
The event was chaired by Yuan Tianli, the president of the CCF Beijing Technology and Business University Student Chapter. Professor Tan Li, the vice dean of the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Beijing Technology and Business University and the director of the CCF Beijing Technology and Business University Student Chapter, also attended.
At the beginning of the event, President Yuan Tianli provided a comprehensive introduction to the history, mission, and the significant role of the CCF in the academic and professional development of professionals. He highlighted the series of academic lectures and research activities conducted by the CCF Beijing Technology and Business University Student Chapter since its establishment in 2015, as well as the achievements in promoting academic exchange and enhancing individual practical skills. He also introduced the different levels of CCF membership, the benefits they offer, and the preferential policies that come with joining the chapter. He mentioned that the chapter would handle the membership procedures for the first-year students and first-year graduate students from the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, allowing them to fully utilize the rich resources and opportunities provided by the CCF.
Subsequently, Professor Tan Li gave a detailed introduction to two important certifications and competitions in the field of computing: the CCF Computer Software Ability Certification (CSP) and the CCF College Students' Computer Systems and Programming Design Competition (CCSP). The CSP aims to assess and certify the capabilities of software professionals, covering programming skills from basic to advanced levels. The CCSP focuses on cultivating the abilities of college students in computer systems and programming design, selecting top talents through competition. The professor emphasized the importance of these certifications and competitions in enhancing students' professional skills and competitiveness and encouraged everyone to actively participate.
At the end of the event, the new students eagerly signed up, showing a strong interest in the upcoming academic exchanges and professional activities. The CCF Beijing Technology and Business University Student Chapter warmly welcomed the new members and promised to continue organizing more activities that would help with their academic growth and professional skill enhancement.
